A representative of the Organic Consumers Organization asked multikulti/Indymedia to film the last hearing on Illinois Senate Bill 1666. This bill lays out legislation to require products be labeled as GMO if they contain any GMO ingredients in Illinois so consumers can make educated choices. The bill does not requiring labeling of meats of which animals consume GMO products, however the people backing the bill see this as a major step forward in the right direction.
